HRIA Charity 2016 | SEMA Cares
We will be donating a custom guitar to the Hot Rod Industry Alliance to auction off for charity at this year’s SEMA Show (Specialty Equipment Market Association). This unique electric guitar was painted in a custom mixed charcoal metallic with a brush satin clear stripe, by none other than Goolsby Customs of Hueytown, Alabama. The body is a renewable source two piece construction with a hard rock maple neck, which has a waxed finish, and is accented by a rosewood fingerboard. Other features include a dual action truss rod that is steel reinforced, black vinyl pickguard, locking tuners, and D’Addario strings. It not only looks great, but sounds great thanks to an AMP bridge plate with dual coil pickup, traditional single coil neck pickup, and a three way switch that allows for precision pickup control. Furthermore, all hardware is finished in either bright chrome or brushed chrome. This guitar is styled after last year’s winner of the Mothers Shine award and this year’s Street Machine of the Year, Tim and CiCi Spencer’s 1969 Ford Mustang built by Goolsby Customs. The auction will be held Wednesday night (5:30-7pm) November 2nd during the HRIA Reception at the SEMA Show.
Update- Tim Spencer, (Owner of the car it was designed after) won the bid at $750 to which Chip Gerber of Syclone Motorsports matched the bid at another $750 for a total of $1500. Proceeds go to SEMA Cares. Thanks guys!
